Praise God for what He has accomplished in the last few months!
- In January 1999, the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary was finally able to begin classes in the Seminary wing of the Baltic Mission Center!
- the Seminary is operating with a bare minimum of furnishings, but nevertheless are excited about the possibilities the new building provides!
It is such a blessing to see the Work of God beginning in the Baltic Mission Center. This is what we have been praying for and dreaming of for so long!
- Construction has been completed on the Caretakers Apartment on the first floor of the Baltic Mission Center. Uno Looris, his wife and two children moved in the beginning of April.
- Work is currently being done on completing the wheelchair ramp on the main entrance to the sanctuary.
- In the Sanctuary, workers are installing the ventilation ducts and also doing the electrical wiring.
Future Construction plans:
- Now that the Seminary wing is operational, all attention is being focused upon the Sanctuary. Our plan, if God so allows, will be to have this ready by the end of 1999.
- Once the Sanctuary is completed, we will return to the final individual rooms such as the Soup Kitchen Dinning Room, Student dormitory rooms, the Choir room, Youth room and Daycare.
- As well, we are excited about the opening of the BMC Cafeteria up to the public this fall. God willing, this will generate some revenue to offset the expenses of running this facility, as well as serve as a witness by bringing people in to contact with members of the Methodist Church.
