Construction Update
November 26, 1999

Thanks to the mercy and grace of our God, the Baltic Mission Center is alive with activity!

Praise God that the Baltic Mission Center has begun to take an active role in the work of the Christian Church in this part of the world!

Construction has continued to move forward during the past months.

  • The steps and wheelchair ramp on the main entrance to the Sanctuary, were completed well before winter set in.
  • The ventilation and electrical wiring for the Sanctuary wing have been substantially completed, and wait only the final finishing touches.

Currently, construction is continuing in the Sanctuary on the second floor.

  • Workmen have filled the Sanctuary with scaffolding in order to insulate and finish the ceiling. Within a few weeks the ceiling should be entirely completed.
  • As well, workmen are busy plastering the walls in preparation for final painting. This work should also be complete by the end of the year.

By the end of 1999 the Sanctuary should be ready for the final finishing work of painting, installing the flooring material, and of course the furnishings. Unfortunately, funds are not yet available for this final step.

The first floor Sanctuary Foyer is the next priority, and when this is in a useable state, attention can turn to the remaining rooms in the Seminary wing, such as the Soup Kitchen, Day-care, Choir Room, Youth Room, and Seminary Dormitories.

Please join us in praising God for what He has accomplished. Pray with us that the Sanctuary of the BMC will soon be filled with the joyful sound of worship, and that the Gospel will be spread as a result of the Baltic Mission Center.
