What Estonian pastors, after years of persecution by the Communists, have to say about the Baltic Mission Center

Our young people in the Tallinn Methodist Church are already extremely active, but the completion of the Baltic Mission Center will give us even more opportunities!

Young people distributing soup
I will give you only two examples,

* our "friend's club," where we invite our non-Christian friends to have fun, eat a little, and be together to discuss vital issues related to faith. We hope soon to be able to hold these meetings in our new youth room in the Baltic Mission Center.

* once or twice a month we have been boiling about 20 gallons of soup and bringing it together with a message of hope in Christ to the poor people in the "Kopli" area of Tallinn. Hopefully we can soon start using the Baltic Mission Center soup kitchen and invite all the needy people to receive daily nourishment for their physical and spiritual needs.

I can not tell you how much we are looking forward to the completion of the Baltic Mission Center. But the reason is simple, it will give us so many more opportunities to share the Gospel with the people of Tallinn!

The logo of the BMC reminds us that like a ship, the church must be in motion, not at a standstill. Jesus gave His followers a command to take His Good News to other nations. Going out on the mission field requires good theoretical and practical training, be it in Estonia, Russia, Latvia or Lithuania. In order to be better equipped for this task, the BMC provides Seminary training in Estonian and Russian languages in order to involve as many different nationalities as possible. Our students and graduates have been active in mission trips in Estonia and into Russia. As well, here in Estonia, they have been instrumental in the beginning of fellowship and Bible Study groups, as well as in the founding of 9 new churches in the last 8 years!

Graduation in the Sanctuary
The Methodist Church in Estonia wants to exert a Christian influence on the development of Estonian society in the areas of spirituality, culture, as well as social work. As a part of our Christian mission, the BMC hopes to attract public attention with its modern architecture and design, to host concerts, art exhibitions and conventions. With God's help, the BMC hopes to make a positive difference in the life of the local people, offering them food for both body and spirit.
